Kai in ’t Veld is a promising speed skater with a unique connection to Greece. Despite numerous setbacks, including injuries and time away from the ice, Kai remains determined to compete internationally. His father, originally from Athens, facilitated Kai’s eligibility to represent Greece.

Kai recently joined Team Novus and aims to participate in international competitions, focusing on the 1500 and 1000 meters, with the ultimate goal of reaching the Olympics.

His perseverance and love for the sport keep him motivated and we are proud to be part of his journey!

Most memorable skating moment

The best moment was probably my 1500m personal record that I skated three years ago as an A junior. It was a regular Saturday morning, and there was no pressure at all. Suddenly, I shaved two seconds off my personal record right then and there.
