Germain Deschamps is a versatile speed skater excelling in both inline skating and long track speed skating. Starting his rollerblading journey at the age of 4, he quickly rose through the ranks, securing numerous French Championship titles and European Championship medals in various youth categories. Germain specializes in long-distance events and has showcased his talent on both indoor and outdoor tracks.

Transitioning to long track speed skating at the age of 17, Germain wasted no time in making an impact. During his debut season, he qualified for the Junior World Cup in the 1500m event, setting the stage for a promising career on the ice. His achievements on the ice include breaking all French junior records in each distance category and earning a 2nd place overall ranking in the mass start event at the World Cup. At the 2022 Junior World Championships, he secured an impressive 4th place in the mass start event.
